Short Story: Salvación Capítulo 11-12
Capítulo 11
1.Estoy atrapado en la esclusa, en una nave dañada, solo. ¿Cómo puede ser peor? 2.Una luz en la pantalla al lado de la puerta comienza a parpadear.
3.La pantalla muestra que el nivel de oxígeno en la esclusa está en cincuenta por ciento y el número está cayendo rápido. 4.Después de tapar el agujero en la esclusa me siento y comienzo a pensar en muerte por asfixia. 5.Supongo que hay peores formas de morir, como asfixia en la oscuridad del espacio o ahogarse en un río de la tierra, o quemado en una estaca. 6.Hay mitos de brujas en los días antiguos, mil anos atrás, sociedades que tuvieron que quemar algunas brujas malvadas en una estaca. 7.Todos saben que son mitos y no son reales, que absurdo. 8.¿Quién puede creer que existen las brujas? Y, además, ¿quién puede crear esas historias tontas?
9.Dejo de pensar sobre esas cosas, tengo que encontrar una salida de aquí. 10.No puedo usar el traje espacial, está dañado también. 11.No sé qué pasó afuera, una batalla entre dos naves tal vez, pero un proyectil hizo daño a la nave y al traje espacial. 12.Me doy cuenta de que estoy hablando en voz alta --¡Maldición, ayúdame! –grito sabiendo que nadie puede oírme.
13.--¿Necesita ayuda? – dice una voz monótona por el interfono.
Chapter 11
1.I am trapped in the airlock, in a damaged ship, alone. How can it be any worse? 2.A light on the screen next to the door starts to blink. 3.The screen shows that the oxygen level in the airlock is at 50 percent and the number is dropping fast. 4.After I plug the hole in the airlock I sit and begin to think about death by asphyxiation. 5.I guess there are worse ways to die, like asphyxiation in the darkness of space or drowning in a river on Earth or burned at the stake. 6.There are myths about witches in the ancient days, 1000 years ago, societies had to burn some evil witches at the stake. 7.Everybody knows they are just myths and are not real, how absurd. 8.Who could believe that witches exist, and moreover, who could create those silly stories?
9.I stop think about those things, I have to find a way out of here. 10.I can’t use the space suit; it’s damaged as well. 11.I don’t know what happened outside, a battle between two ships maybe, but a projectile damaged the ship and the space suit. 12.I realize I am talking out loud, “Dammit, help me!” I yell knowing that nobody can hear me.
13.“Do You need help?” Says a monotone voice over the intercom.

Capítulo 12
1.--¿Elieta, eres tú? –pregunto.
2.--No, Elieta y Talena están en camino al comprador –dice la voz tranquilamente— Necesitas ayuda, puedo ayudarte.
3.--¿Quién eres?
4.--Mi nombre es Quiel.
5.Uno de los miembros de la tripulación esta vivo, gracias a Dios. No me importa quién es, estoy a salvo.
6.--Por favor, abre la puerta de la esclusa –digo, la puerta se abre. 7.Camino en la dirección de la cabina de mando, estoy listo para luchar por mi vida si es necesario. 8.La persona por el interfono no puede ser una amenaza, tenemos el mismo objetivo ahora, sobrevivir.
9.Llego a una cabina de mando vacía; no hay nadie aquí. ¿Dónde está? 10.Pulso el botón del interfono –Hola, ¿Dónde estás? no me importa quién eres, pero tenemos que trabajar juntos.
11.--Estoy aquí –responde la voz por el interfono.
12.--¿Y dónde es aquí?
13.--En la nave.
14.--Lo sé –digo un poco molesto—. No estoy bromeando, ven a la cabina de mando.
15.--Estoy en la cabina de mando. No me entiendes. Estoy en los sistemas de la nave.
16.¿Qué demonios es esto, un virus en la nave? 17.Perfecto, ahora tengo que tratar con un virus y encontrar una manera de llegar a casa. 18.Inicio la secuencia de código para empezar los sistemas de la nave de nuevo, es la única opción que tengo para matar el virus. 19.Escucho la voz del virus nuevamente –No puedes matarme porque no soy un virus.
20.--Entonces, ¿Quién o qué eres?
21.--Soy Quiel del sistema solar Proxima Centauri.
Chapter 12
1.“Elieta, is that you?” I ask.
2.“No, Elieta and Talena are on their way to the buyer,” says the voice calmly, “You need help, I can help you.”
3.“Who are you?”
4.“My name is Quiel.”
5.One of the crew members is alive, thank God. I don’t care who it is, I’m saved.
6.“Please, open the door to the airlock,” I say, and the door opens. 7.I walk in the direction of the cockpit; I am ready to fight for my life if it is necessary. 8.The person on the intercom can’t be a threat, we have the same objective right now, to survive. 9.I arrive to an empty cockpit, nobody is here. Where is he? 10.I press the intercoms button, “Hello, where are you?I don’t care who you are, but we have to work together.
11.“I am here,” responds the voice over intercom.
12.“And where is here?”
13.“In the ship.”
14.“I know that.” I say a little annoyed, “I’m not joking around, come to the cockpit.”
15.“I am here in the cockpit. You don’t understand me. I am in the systems of the ship.”
16.What the hell is this, a virus in the ship? 17.Perfect, now I have to deal with a virus and figure out a way home. 18.I start the code sequence to restart the systems of the ship, it’s the only option that I have, to kill the virus. 19.I hear the voice of the virus again, “You can’t kill me, because I am not a virus.”
20.“Then who or what are you?”
21.“I am Quiel from the solar system Proxima Centauri.”
