Short Story: Salvación Capítulo 13-14
Capítulo 13
1.Estos virus son más listos de lo que recuerdo, incluso tienen un sentido del humor hoy en día. 2.Me pregunto si va a tener sentido del humor después de reiniciar los sistemas. 3.Las luces en la nave se apagan por un momento, el silencio es poderoso, me hace darme cuenta de que solo hay un centímetro de casco grafeno entre el vacuo del espacio y yo.
4.El zumbido de los sistemas inicia y un segundo después las luces se encienden. 5.Bueno, no más virus, puedo continuar con mi misión de salvarme a mí mismo o, por lo menos hacer un esfuerzo para hacerlo. 6.Estoy asustado cuando escucho el virus por el interfono --Puedo ayudarte.
7.--¡Maldición! –grito y pulso el botón del interfono velozmente--. ¿Eres un maldito súper virus indestructible?
8.--No, no soy un maldito súper virus indestructible –dice la voz.
9.--No, no lo eres. Me disculpo, eres un maldito y gracioso virus –digo.
10.--Tampoco soy un maldito y gracioso virus, solo gracioso. Soy Quiel del sistema solar Proxima Centauri.
11.Quito el pulgar del botón --no me lo creo, hay un virus programado para ser gracioso en esta nave –pienso en voz alta.
12.–Puedo oírte; no necesitas usar el botón del interfono para hablar conmigo, pero si te hace sentir más cómodo, te recomiendo que pulses el botón. 13.En situaciones difíciles así, es mejor estar lo más cómodo posible. 14.La especie humana es una de la más frágil e irracional comparada con otras especies, especialmente cuando actúan por las emociones.
15.--¿Vas a ayudarme? –le pregunto.
16.--Sí, voy a ayudarte, tampoco quiero morir –contesta.
17.--¿Y no vas a matarme?
18.--Ya estarías muerto, puedo matarte fácilmente, pero si deseas… –dice la voz sin terminar la oración con la misma monotonía que parece un sarcasmo muy seco. 19.No tengo muchas opciones; no sé si sea posible reparar el motor y, en este momento no tengo mucho que perder.
Chapter 13
1.These viruses are smarter than I remember, they even have a sense of humor nowadays. 2.I wonder if it is going to have a sense of humor after I restart the ship’s systems. 3.The lights in the ship turn off for a moment, the silence is powerful, it makes me realize that there is only one centimeter of graphene hull between me and the vacuum of space. 4.The hum of the systems start-up again and a second later the lights turn on. 5.Okay, no more virus, I can continue with my mission to save myself or, at least make an effort to do it. 6.I’m startled when I hear the virus over the intercom, “I can help you.”
7.“Dammit!” I yell and press the intercoms button quickly, “Are you a damn indestructible super virus?”
8.“No, I am not a damn indestructible super virus,” says the voice.
9.“No, no you are not. Excuse me, you are a damn funny guy virus,” I say.
10.“Neither am I a damn funny guy virus, just a funny guy. I am Quiel from the solar system Proxima Centauri.
11.I take my thumb off the button, “I don’t believe it, there is a virus programmed to be a funny guy in this ship,” I think aloud.
12.“I can hear you; you don’t need to use the intercoms button to talk to me, but if it makes you feel more comfortable, I recommend that you press the button. 13.In difficult situations like this, it is better to be as comfortable as possible. 14.The human species is one of the most fragile and irrational compared with other species, especially when they act by their emotions.
15.“Are you going to help me?” I ask it.
16.“Yes, I am going to help you, I don’t want to die either,” It responds.
17.“And you are not going to kill me?”
18.“You would be dead already, I can easily kill you, but if you want…” says the voice without finishing the sentence with the same monotone that seems like a dry sarcasm. 19.I don’t have many options; I don’t know if it is possible to repair the engine and, at this point in time I don’t have much to lose.

Capítulo 14
1.El motor está dañado, lo miro de nuevo como si fuera posible reparar un motor con mi mente, necesita un nuevo reactor.
2.--¿Hola, estás allí? ¿Puedes reparar el motor? –espero un momento buscando una respuesta en el aire esterilizado de la nave.
3.--No, no puedo reparar el motor –contesta Quiel.
4.--Entonces, ¿cómo puedes ayudarme? Estoy atrapado aquí en el medio de la nada –hago una pausa--, Estamos atrapados aquí.
5.--Soy energía, no tenemos que reparar el motor, puedo ser la fuente de energía para el motor.
6.Un silencio permanece por un momento, está interrumpido por el ruido del motor.
7.--¡Estoy a salvo! –Exclamo.
8.--Corrección, estamos a salvo –dice Quiel.
9.--¿Qué hiciste?
10.--Todavía hay moléculas de hidrogeno en el reactor, puedo crear una reacción de fusión con las moléculas. 11.De hecho, el proceso es muy sencillo, ¿te gustaría aprender sobre el proceso? –me pregunta con un poco de arrogancia en su voz.
12.No puede ser un virus; un virus no puede empezar el proceso de fusión en un reactor. 13.Si es la verdad, que Quiel es de Proxima Centauri, entonces este es el primer contacto con un extraterrestre. 14.Toda la tripulación está muerta, me dice que no va a matarme; Es posible que él este usándome y cuando no me necesite, va a matarme.

Chapter 14

6.A silence remains for a moment, it is interrupted by the noise of the engine.
7.“I’m saved!” I exclaim.
8.“Correction, we are saved,” says Quiel.
9.“What did you do?”
10.“There are still hydrogen molecules in the reactor, I can create a fusion reaction with the molecules. 11.Actually, the process is quite simple, would you like to learn about the process?” It asks me with a bit of arrogance in its voice.
12.It can’t be a virus; a virus can’t start the fusion process in a reactor. 13.If it is true, that Quiel is from Proxima Centauri, then this is first contact with an extraterrestrial. 14.The entire crew is dead, it told me that it wasn’t going to kill me, it’s possible that it is using me and when it doesn’t need me, it is going to kill me.
15.“Where are we going?” it asks me after I sit in the pilot seat.
16.“Mars, it is the closest place with a U.N. base.” Suddenly the engine turns off.
17.“I’m sorry, I cannot let you go there, it is dangerous,” says Quiel.
